Frances D. Eleby Smith

Frances D. Eleby Smith is a graduate of the University Of St. Frances with a Bachelors Degree in Science Health Arts (RN) and holds a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from John Marshall Law School, having been a practicing attorney since 2001. Her areas of practice include Criminal Defense, Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury and Domestic Relations. She maintains her status as a Registered Nurse and Attorney in the state of Georgia.

Prior to her full time law practice, Frances worked as a Registered Nurse whose responsibilities included acting as an Insurance Defense claims settlement advisor. She was primarily responsible for making the decision of whether a claim would be paid out or denied and then forwarded to the legal department for litigation. Mrs. Smith’s legal experience coupled with her medical knowledge and understanding of the internal workings of the insurance industry make her an invaluable asset for the Castaneda Law Firm.
